“Helping Children in Need” is the mission of the national non-profit organization known as Project Linus. On Tuesday, the Augusta chapter made a donation of blankets to the Ronald McDonald House to comfort our children.
Project Linus’s mission “our mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
We are so grateful to the volunteers of Project Linus who have taken their time and given of their talents to help the kids at RMHC of Augusta. Many have already been held and wrapped up in by our kids – and the comfort you have given is appreciated by everyone.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta serves over 1,000 families each year. Our volunteer run community kitchen serves over 15,000 meals, and our volunteers and families run over over 5,000 loads of laundry every year.
