It’s not only the community that takes care of the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Augusta, our families form a bond with each other and make a special effort to care for the other families who they share the house.
On May 15, 2019, the Villoth Family went out and got Olive Garden for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta.
The Villoth family had been staying at the Ronald McDonald House after an accident at the beach resulting in their daughters needing care at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
Thankfully they have checked out and are healthy again, but the Villoth family were with us for over one month, and this was a gift they wished to give to the other families.
With 23 rooms and over 1,000 families staying with us each year, our families taking care of each other is something that happens every day at the Ronald McDonald House – sometimes more visible than other times, but there are special moments like these at the Ronald McDonald House.
